A chance encounter with Editors!
From : Michelle Fisher
October 2018: Me and my husband were taking my mam to see Editors with us in Glasgow for her birthday. I told her that the show the night before had been cancelled in Aberdeen, and I wasn't sure it it was happening. She thought we were blowing her off so she turned her phone off for THREE DAYS. After not getting through for hours, I posted on Facebook I had a ticket. My friend Rebecca said she'd jump in her car and come over from Edinburgh. After the show, she wanted to take us for a drink to say thank you. She drove us to a bar I'd never heard of. As we finished up, my husband says "that's them right there". I didn't believe him until they started walking towards us. I couldn't speak. I'd just been diagnosed with autism and Editors are what you might call my "special interest", since AEHAS came out. They were lovely! I rambled nonsense about my love for them, how they helped me through lots of rough times. They shook our hands, let us take a photo, and left. My mam still doesn't know.
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Videos, photos and memories written by the band and people who lived through every era of Editors. And, most importantly, add your own memory to the archives and let the whole world share in it. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
