Bullets to the heart and soul
From : Kaaren Coyle
I have so many happy memories over the years of seeing Editors. One of my favourite memories was the first ever time I saw them at the 13th Note in Glasgow. A small cramped basement, as soon as the band took to the stage the atmosphere was electric and it was an amazing gig. My sister and I have been to see them every tour since and have been lucky enough to catch them at a few festivals too. Fast forward a good few years and imagine our delight when we were going on holiday to celebrate my retirement(ill health). We were visiting Seattle and Editors were playing a tiny venue. as part of the Violence tour. We had our tickets and were so looking forward to a great night of music, only to get to the venue and we couldn’t get in as we didn’t have our passport to prove our age...at this point I was 47 and my sis was 44. After a trip to the other side of the city in an Über(where we found a large knife in the back seat) to pick up the passports and a lovely Über driver drove like mad to get us back just in time to be ID’d and allowed in to see an amazing gig. Worth the running about like two daft GLASGOW girls. I have so many happy memories of Editors gigs all over the place and their music is the best medicine. I may not be able to go down the front like I used to and enjoy the mosh but I always manage to get out my seat to have a jump about to Bullets(sorry that sounds a bit X Factor 😂)
