Guitar Picked
From : Shaun B
I guess it was about 2016, when I was at my fourth Editors gig. A small venue but I was by no means stood close to the stage, I like my own space. Regardless, after one particular song I suddenly felt a sudden pang of pain in my right eye. the song wasn't No Harm, I forget what it actually was but the choice seemed apt here. Anyway, it turned out that Tom had thrown his guitar pick into the crowd and it had managed to reach my eyeball. I would have been none the wiser had my girlfriend at the time not spotted it and picked it up for me to keep. I still have that guitar pick to this day and, thankfully, no lasting eye damage. It's a story I tell a lot, partly because it's funny but also to explain why I keep a cheap throw-away guitar pick in a glass frame on my wall.
