Inspired to learn piano!
From : Owen
Having always listened to Editors... I’ve always wished I could be as talented as Tom. One drunk new year, I had been listening to a live show and I heard papillon... but with an unusual start. Soft slow piano keys... which I instantly loved.... many beers later and many attempts later... I finally managed to play (very badly) the right notes myself on a friends old piano! A week later, I bought myself a digital piano and have been practicing ever since... I can now play and sing “blood” and “no sound but the wind” As well as writing my own music/lyrics and singing in my own band... which all started because of Tom so I got him to sign my arm and have it tattooed as a reminder.... which was embarrassing as I was welled up in tears, and the first thing my idol said to me was - Are you okay? Ha-Ha!
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Videos, photos and memories written by the band and people who lived through every era of Editors. And, most importantly, add your own memory to the archives and let the whole world share in it. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
