Era tarda estate del 2007, e io come ogni volta avevo collezionato un debito a scuola. A fine agosto come ogni anno andavo all’Isola d’Elba e dovevo studiare in ogni momento, che fossi sulla spiaggia o che fossi a casa. Non era ancora diffuso il wi fi e la rete prendeva poco in casa mia, l’unico posto in cui prendeva un po’ meglio era l’angolo accanto al lavabo. Dopo pranzo, quindi prima di riniziare a studiare mi mettevo a lavare i piatti con il computer accanto e The racing Rats in sottofondo. Ogni volta che la ascolto mi ricordo quella sensazione di malinconia legata allo studio forzato, ma che adesso, 12 anni dopo, rimpiango un po’ .
