Live at Concerto Recordstore
From : Danny van Schendel
It was october 25th 2019, releaseday of "Black Gold: The best of" and haven't seen Editors in nearly a year (Brussels december 2018 was the last time). In 2018 I saw them play 8 times in Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands. I was thrilled when the 3FM concert was announced, but sadly I couldn't go due to other appointments, so I didn't try to win tickets. I did try to win tickets for the NPO radio 2 gig for the 25th, but no luck. Somehow I had totally missed the announcement for the Concerto Instore gig so on releaseday I saw a tweet about this gig at noon saying the sale started at 10.00 AM but there were still tickets. Wait a minute! THERE WERE STILL TICKETS!!. I've jumped in my car, breaking all speed records and travelling 60 miles with 100 miles per hour. When I arrived in Amsterdam at Concerto I bought the vinyl and I got my ticket and was overjoyed. I was going to see Editors in 2019 after all!! The gig was amazing and after that you guys were kind enough to sign my poster. I have the poster framed now accompanied with this photo (taken after the gig) of Justin pointing out my "The weight of your love" tattoo. It's hanging in my hallway for everyone to see who enters my house now.
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Videos, photos and memories written by the band and people who lived through every era of Editors. And, most importantly, add your own memory to the archives and let the whole world share in it. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
