My tattoo
From : Danny van Schendel
So it was after the release of the single A ton of love that I was really hooked. The single resembled a new band sound I really loved and it made me think a bit of U2 in their glory days (another band I really love). Even the catchphrase was the same (Desiiiiiiiiiire). What followed was imo Editors best album to date, "The weight of your love". This album is with The Joshua Tree the top 2 of albums how a band should sound like. I already had The Joshua Tree logo on my arm and there was no doubt in glorifying this second masterpiece. So I took te vinyl album cover to my tattoo artist and asked her how she would imagine this beautiful photo on my arm. The result was amazing (she is a real superb artist). I've emailed a photo of the tattoo to photographer Charles Emerson and got a very lovely response that he was honored that his coverphoto was now forever on my arm. In 2018 I've had the chance to show it to Tom, Elliott en Justin and they said it looked really cool as well. This album will be forever in my heart and on my body
