Out with Pixies – In with Editors
From : Shay Galor
I'm from Israel. In summer 2010 Pixies were scheduled for a show here, and I was super excited, bought the ticket months in advance and started preparing myself, re-binging their discography, and getting to know the warm-up band - Editors, which I slowly started just falling in love with. Eventually, unfortunately, due to political circumstances Pixies decided to cancel their arrival (only to finally come a few years later), but Editors did not back down. They moved the concert to a smaller, more intimate venue (Barby TLV) and it's still one of the best shows I've attended, glad I kept that ticket. When Tom addressed the situation, it felt so clear that in that moment we were all one and music is all that matters. It was a highly emotional performance. From then on I've bought every album the band released (the last two on vinyl) and I got to see them again last year at TWclassic in Belgium. Hope to see them again in my home country.
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Videos, photos and memories written by the band and people who lived through every era of Editors. And, most importantly, add your own memory to the archives and let the whole world share in it. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
