Pratteln
From : Charlotte
I’ve been a long-time fan of Editors, but could not manage to go see them live. The Belgian concerts sell out frustratingly fast. One day, my husband arranged a weekend off and we left home without me knowing our destination. Halfway what would become an 8-hour drive, I started guessing the country we were going. We were already in France, so maybe? Nowp. Germany? No. Really, Switzerland? I still see his huge smile while nodding. He bought tickets for the only Violence concert that did not sell out in Pratteln (never heard of it). In an amazingly cozy venue we had a blast. 2nd row, guys! Great setlist opening with the boxer! Good that Tom kept calling “How are you, Pratteln?”. Just rolls so easily off the tongue. Steven felt sorry for snatching one of Russell’s plectrums from in front of someone, but I am very happy with it! Also, many plectri were thrown that evening. You came prepared. I hope you enjoyed the Swiss atmosphere as much as we did. See you again next year in Belgium!
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Videos, photos and memories written by the band and people who lived through every era of Editors. And, most importantly, add your own memory to the archives and let the whole world share in it. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
