Push Your Head Towards The Air And Cross Oceans
From : Nathan Allen
We discovered Editors in 2014; better late than never! Living in Canada - about an hour north of Toronto - we desperately waited for a North American tour with a Toronto date. It never came. Not knowing if it would ever come we took matters into our hands in 2018. Step 1: Buy tickets to Dublin gig. Step 2: Get to Dublin. Step 3: Get there early. Step 4: Get front row. Step 5: Best. Concert. Ever. The experience of Editors live is forever etched into our memories. Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors evokes an emotional response in both of us that not many songs can do. I vividly remember connecting with Russell in the middle of it as I thrashed about in joy. With a smile he tossed my one of his picks. I dropped it. He went out of his way to throw me another; making sure I got it. Absolute class act. It's said that any great artist(s) can be recognized by a silhouette. This is true for Editors. We won't hesitate to push our head towards the air and travel across oceans to see Editors again.
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Videos, photos and memories written by the band and people who lived through every era of Editors. And, most importantly, add your own memory to the archives and let the whole world share in it. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
