Silver Lining
From : Anastasiya
I started listening to Editors when I was a final year student. That was in 2015. The first Editors song that I listened to was ‘Sugar’, and it was love from first listen. Academic year 2015-2016 wasn’t an easy one – lots of studies, writing my thesis and lack of understanding between my closest friends and me. Sometimes it happened that I was sitting alone in a room and listening to the same Editors songs in a row because that was the only support I could count on. Then 2016 came, and Editors were announced for ‘Maxidrom’ festival in Russia in June. I understood that it was my chance to finally see the band that helped me to get through dark times. I couldn’t wait for the 19th of June, and finally the day has come. When Tom, Ed, Justin, Elliot and Russel got on stage, I couldn’t believe that that was happening for real. I sang every song with them and enjoyed every minute of the show. I felt how their music filled my heart with joy. Thank you for everything you do.
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Videos, photos and memories written by the band and people who lived through every era of Editors. And, most importantly, add your own memory to the archives and let the whole world share in it. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
