The Night I Partied with Editors
From : Ryan Kofman
It was 2/9/08 and my friend and I had just finished seeing Editors play The Wiltern with Hot Hot Heat. Amazing show! After the show we went to a mutual friends place in Echo Park, CA. It was getting late so I was ready to go home. Meanwhile, a raging party is going on next door. My friend kept trying to coerce me into crashing it. I was too shy crash a random house party so kept saying “no, let’s not do that, let’s just go home”. I finally talked my friend into leaving and while we’re walking out, some guy sitting out front at the party said “hey” and invited us over. My friend continued to persuade me to check it out. I reluctantly finally said yes. And then I couldn’t believe it...upon walking in, we see the entire band hanging out with other members of the bands that night. Needless to say, I was GEEKING out. We ended up staying for a few hours and had an amazing time. Moral of the story, always say YES to going out, you never know what it might bring.
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Videos, photos and memories written by the band and people who lived through every era of Editors. And, most importantly, add your own memory to the archives and let the whole world share in it. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
