Frankenstein Fan Memory
The Realisation
From : Oliver White
Being stranded in the depths of Australia, I've haven't had a chance to see Editors, let alone this song live. I'm a new fan - I started following Editors a couple months after they released Violence. Discovering a band like Editors is like winning the lottery. There's such an utter goldmine of amazing songs. No matter what they put out - electronic songs or guitar rock, it's just all amazing. I've searched every nook and cranny for all the alternate versions, B-sides, bonus tracks, you name it. I can't stress enough how much sheer appreciation I have for these guys. They've inspired me to pursue a career in electronic music and they'll always be inspiring me no matter what. Frankenstein was the moment I realised this. The absolute genius production quality and unique sound in this track is insane. The moment I listened to this song, I realised that this band was truly special and that if I pursue my dreams one day, perhaps I could also make electronic music like Editors. I'll never give up!
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
