Treasure hunt!
From : Hannah
No Harm wasn't released in the conventional way. Instead, the band posted on social media that they had hidden a new song "on a CD out there". And so us fans embarked on a proper treasure hunt, which I may have got too invested in. I had reserved that Easter break to revise for my exams, but this hunt triggered my inner loser version of Sherlock Holmes and completely distracted me from the French History I was supposed to be studying. All sorts of theories emerged on the forum, but we were mostly clueless. I ended up physically searching for an Editors song in Antwerp. In record stores, not knowing where to look. The breakthrough was a bit of a team effort: one fan mentioned tracks can be hidden on CDs before track 1, so I passed that info on to Erik, who was on his way to get the new PIAS sampler. A bit later he messaged me a download link to this stunning track that was so different from any Editors song I had heard. Side-effect of all of this: I failed my French History exam.
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Videos, photos and memories written by the band and people who lived through every era of Editors. And, most importantly, add your own memory to the archives and let the whole world share in it. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
