Last Day Fan Memory
It’s one hell of a day to dance
From : Gary Paterson
From my blog dated, Lincoln 6th March 2010. “Escape The Nest crashed to its end, the lights went out, as we tried to grab our breath’s back shadowy figures moved about the darkened stage, one of which took up his place at the front keyboard. Ed started the count in. A low growling bass line kicks in along with a beat. A quick look of WTF was exchanged between us followed quickly by huge grins as we realised this was something entirely new. What followed was a dark brooding slow builder with stabbing synths punctuating the groove that then throws a curve ball midway through and leaves you cheering for more. It might well be the Last Day but let’s hope there is a touch of the groundhog about it and it gets repeated lots.” This was released as a limited single for Record Store Day the following month.
The Black Gold Archives

Welcome to the Black Gold Archives. Explore the timeline as it chronicles sixteen tracks that make up the Black Gold greatest hits record and discover stories from each song. Videos, photos and memories written by the band and people who lived through every era of Editors. And, most importantly, add your own memory to the archives and let the whole world share in it. Every memory that is shared will be added to the archive. A photo of a tiny, sweaty gig in the early 2000s… A grainy video taken from your old camera phone thrust in the air while you lived out your favourite festival moment… Or maybe words. A story, a moment, a memory.

Explore the Black Gold Archive at your leisure and share in the moments that crafted Editors. And don’t forget to leave something to show the world that you were part of the journey too.
