Love On The Filthy Streets Is So Divine
From : Gary Paterson
While it is more assocated with more recent memories for most, this song actually made its debut in a sleepy wee village in the south of England in 2008. The place was Frome, the gig, in a small hall and was a warm up ahead of their Glastonbury slot that weekend. And it was great and sounded really good. However the encore was something I will never forget. Asking for suggestions in the forum for what people would like to hear in the encore, (the main set being a run through of their Glasto set) I was inspired to do this (see pic). It was a fav of mine (still is to this day) but I had never seen them perform it other than in the video of the 2006 AOL session (see video). And guess what, THEY PLAYED IT!!! Let me reitterate that, THEY PLAYED COLOURS! And it was beautiful, and it soared, and my heart exploded and it was even better than how I dreamed it would be live and is a memory I will treasure forever. P.S Oh, and they played Open Up as well which was proper lush.
